‘Wei Bao Shan’ was an intense layered field of colour reminiscent of a Chinese or Korean temple. Centred around pieces of silk clothing once worn by myself and friends it represented a period in our lives and perhaps exposed some idealised fantasy we held about exotic cultures. I wanted to capture the richness of the material and colour.
